Bordeaux Cycling
October 2023 – What a spectacular way to spend a birthday! We traveled by van, bikes on the roof from the train station in Bordeaux France east a couple of hours to Trémolat to our hotel, Le Vieux Logis, near the Dordogne river. We spent six days cycling west, roughly following the Dordogne river, braving the occasional downpour and some challenging hills, knowing that the end of each day’s journey we’d be staying at various beautiful and unique hotels, our luggage magically waiting for us in our room with each new stay. We spent the last two nights in Saint-Émilion at the charming Hôtel de Pavie, where we ate at a two-Michelin star restaurant, La Table de Pavie. Simply an incredible experience all around!
